About us
We are a friendly congregation who enjoy socialising as well as worshipping together. We have daily morning and evening prayer with a Saturday morning Eucharist as well. However, it is only our 9:45 Eucharist where we sing together weekly. The hymn book we use at present is ‘Common Praise’ but we would be open to new and contemporary hymns for this service and our additional services throughout the year.  During the Eucharist, we will use several different settings, trying to broaden our repertoire. In addition to the regular services there will be funerals and Weddings that the organist will be asked to play at. These services will be paid separately and in addition to the salary.

The small four-part (robed) choir, sings anthems/motets most Sundays ranging from Tallis to Rutter and Chilcott. We are interested in increasing our repertoire in both in ancient and contemporary music.

We regard the encouragement, inspiration and training of the young as an essential part of our outreach. We have some already in the choir but are looking forward to a much larger number joining up.

Our organ was built by Walker in 1876 and has sixteen speaking stops and three couplers.  The action is tracker.
